Why The Spa-Francorchamp Circuit Is Loved By Drivers And How To Drive There Safely
The Belgium grand prix at spa-francorchamp is one of four grand prix races that have been on the formula one calendar since the drawn of the championship series, the others are Silverstone, Monza and the famous street circuit of Monaco. The spa-francorchamp lap has changed a lot over the 85 years that grand prix races have been held there, it was historically 9.3 miles long but in its current lay out it is only 4.4 miles long. Although the circuit is shorter now, it has held on to some the most interesting corners form the historic lap; most of the changes to the lap have been to make it safer. The historic lap was so long that it was very hard to have marshals all the way around the circuit, this meet that generally the first person on the scene of a crash was a fellow driver. Also the circuit was made up of public roads and therefore was not ringed with crash barriers; it was not until 2000 that it became a full time race track.

Squeaky Wipers Ruining Your Serenity?
The clammer generated by wiper blade when they are badly aligned with the windscreen is truly awful, the sound is not only annoying but it can also impact your safety on the road and the health of others. The syndrome of bawling wiper blade is abounding and I would expect every driver to undergo it at one time or another during the duration of their motoring career. Although this sound can be very harassing it is quite easily solved by following a few easy steps, so strap yourself in and get ready to find out how to rid your self of squeaky wiper blade forever. The first step in combating this menace is to make sure your wind screen is completely clean and free from dirt; any build up what so ever on the glass wind screen can cause the blade to fling and skip over the surface resulting in noise. Make sure you lift up the wiper blade and cleanse directly underneath them and also the outside of the wiper blade itself should be cleaned. If anything remains trapped under the wiper blade this can be re applied to the wind screen the next time it pours so it’s crucial you do a thorough job. If cleaning your wind screen solved the problem brilliant if not the squeaky wiper blade is probably a symptom of a far larger problem with the wiper blades itself.

Conditions At The Coast Are Bad For Your Wipers.
Everyone likes a holiday to the coast but what you might not be aware of is how damaging this type of atmosphere can be to your vehicle and wiper blades. You see despite the plethora of beautiful things to see and do at the coast there are insidious materials which attack the metal and rubber on your vehicle. Another poor thing about the sea is that sand gets everywhere no matter how conscious you are and just a single grain of sand can entirely ruin your carefully made cucumber sand wedges. Even seagull poop is quite alkaline and will damage the paint job on your beautiful vehicle and birds themselves have been known to attack wiper blades for the mineral in the rubber, so it may be nice to take the time to find out about some of the mechanical dangers associated with the coast before you take your next trip. Sand is a real killer to motors and boy is there a lot of it at the beach, when sand combines with water is forms a strongly acidic solution which can attack your wiper blades. You see although quartz itself is a quite weak acid it is the absence of base substances to neutralise the carbonic acid present naturally in rain water, in this way the sand grows ever more acidic and only very tough plants such as dunes can survive. Another issue for your wiper blades is the abrasive property of sand caught underneath the wiper blades. You see sand is made from quartz which is very small, very sharp and very hard, this stuff when trapped under a wiper blades goes like an abrasive and will degrade the leading edge of the wiper blade, but this can also scratch the glass itself so watch out.

How A Random Shopping Trip Led To Me Having To Carry Out Straight forward Maintenance On My Girlfriend’s Motor Car, Including Buying And Fitting Replacement Wiper Blades
It was just a couple of weeks ago that the weather was dry and the days were prolonged and hot, but now the days are getting shorter and they generally seem to be overcast. It was on one of these overcast days that my girlfriend wanted to go shopping; usually I would have driven to the stores, but my motor car was getting inspected at the dealers. On the way home from the stores, the grey skies began to darken and the heavens opened. My girlfriend turned on her windscreen wipers and all that they did was smear the water across the windscreen. This was because her wiper blades had worn out at the time and she need to purchase a new set. As she is a little younger than me, and I knew that they had added basic upkeep to the driving exam now, I asked if she was going to get replacement wiper blades. She turned to me and stated a helpful gentleman would do that for her, so I got the hint that I would have to get some replacement wiper blades and attach them on her behalf. This is when I had to ask if she had inspected the oil levels, water levels or maybe the tyre pressures since the last time the motor car had been inspected, the answer was no and that was what thoughtful gentlemen were for, and at this point I relaised that I had many checks to carry out on her motor car.

Winter Is A Good Time To Change Your Replacement Wiper Blades.
The majority of persons who own and operate their own motor car usually spare hardly any thought for the parts which keep them safe and keep the motorcar ticking over. Things like wiper blades, seat belts, air bags are not really given any appreciable thought people just like to jump in and go from point A to point B as soon as possible. The issue with this narrow mind set is that sometimes these crucial components go unmaintained for years at a time and sometimes this can have baleful side effects. For example the government insist that the vast majority of troubles are the result of bad visibility and the reason for this calamitous smashes is often due to something as common as poor wiper blades maintenance. In fact it is recommended by most experts that your wiper blades should be swap quite frequently or at least once every six months if you are to abstain from having the aforementioned visibility troubles. If you happen to be assigned in a geographical region with nasty weather conditions as standard then the issues becomes even more pronounced. There are many ways to tell if your wiper blades needs replacing, the first as discussed previously is to ensure they are replaced on a regular basis. The second is to look at the results, if the wipe is streaky and undistributed leaving large patches of wind screen relatively untouched then this is a good indication that they need replacing. Another can be discovered by listening very carefully to the noises the wiper blade make, if they squeak of judder this is another indication they need replacing soon.
