Soil – Ten Useful Things to Understand About Soil
Learning what makes soil can be useful for gardeners even if most people find it a particularly dry subject There are five things below about soil which could not be understood already.
One: It is a known fact that an estimated 25 per cent of all the world’s soil is being degraded through intensive agricultural practices such as tilling and poor crop rotation.
Two: Soil might not be where most people would choose to make a home, however, in an acre of soil, up to ten tonnes of animal life can live happily.
Throttle Junkies
Chicago’s Soil burst onto the scene in 1998 with their indie release El Chupacabra. The band then signed with the now defunct MIA records, who only pressed up a couple thousand copies of the band’s album Throttle Junkies. After releasing Scars in 2001 on J Records, Re.de.fine in 2004 and True Self in 2006 – all to greater and great acclaim – the time is now right to reissue Throttle Junkies.

Tenth, soil is made up from minerals, air, water and organic matter at 45 percent, 25 percent, 25 percent and 5 percent respectively.
There are without doubt thousands of things to know about soil. However, most people don’t have that much spare time to learn about soil, and so this list points out the most interesting.
